Starting this morning the staff of Charter Oak Church will be reading Refuel: An Uncomplicated Guide to Connecting with God by Doug Fields.
Doug is the senior youth pastor at Saddleback Community Church. This is his first attempt at writing a non-youth oriented book. I have heard many good things about this book.
We have these six weeks of time leading up to Easter to prepare ourselves for the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is also an extremely busy season for us, more than anything we need to stay connected to God. As a staff, we have been reading the same Bible chapters for over 80 days now. I believe this is the next right thing for us to do to be equipped to become more like Jesus.
