Students Praying

Wow! A group of students from Charter Oak Church have made a decision that they are going to gather together every Thursday at 9am to pray here through the summer. Most high school students don't see the light of the morning during their summer break and yet here is a group that are not only up but are willing to go down on their knees before their heavenly Father to pray. That is a wow for me. Our Pastor of Students - Mark McMahon is leading and leading well.

Pastor Mark and the leadership of your youth group must really be doing something right. This is truly remarkable.

I know a lot of churches that pray and are apostate. Praying when the church is so off track as to follow the Purpose Driven entertain the goats model ("bathed in prayer" was always used as to how they made decisions at our ex purpose driven church)... well by that time "praying" isn't going to help much.

terrirgal,

Thanks for all of the comments of late on my blog and on Pastor Mark's blog. When people, especially Christians, are critical of me, Charter Oak Church, or our staff, I seek to live out 1 John 4:11 - "since God so loved us, we ought to love one another." For me that means that I am viewing you through the eyes of God - that He loves you so much that He sacrificed His Son, Jesus, for you. That makes you the most important person in the world to God and therefore you are the most important person in the world to me. I just want you to know that I love you as my sister in Christ.
