Just Read This Quote

Yesterday I posted that I daily read some blogs that pour into my leadership development. Here's proof of some of the really good stuff I get to read everyday. This is from Scott Rodgers...

It is from a Franciscan Benediction…
May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart.
May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom and peace.
May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain in to joy.
And may God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.

How is God blessing you?

Chris,
Thanks for posting that! It is just what I needed to read today. It's often easy to forget that "discomfort" can be one of God's greatest blessings. I've been feeling a great deal of discomfort the past few weeks over a lot of things in my life, doing a lot of questioning. But your quote was yet another reminder that the discomfort may actually be God's Spirit convicting me to never be satisfied with superficiality, injustice, half-truths, and status-quo-ism. Thanks for charging my spirit today!
